The first question is: Do you have college experience or a diploma? If so, at what level?

If you have already obtained a diploma, depending on the program, you may have very little before a PT program (which is a masters or doctorate) to do. Each school has to take a list of conditions prior to entering the phase of higher education. This is from one school to another, but usually include one year each of general chemistry, physics and biology. You need to take some psychology and math courses and anatomy and physiology. If these requirements you may have to do some volunteer hours in a clinic and finished sitting for the GRE. After the application that can compete in the rule and or not an interview. Once in the program, usually another 3 years.

If you have not had any experience in the school, the program takes about 6-7 years. If you have already graduated, could be a couple of semesters in aYears under their assumption.

I will propose at the APTA website at: http://www.apta.org, where they have good information for prospective students.
